I’ve been working in the remote bookkeeping industry since 2016. I started as a sole proprietor in 2016 called Coastal Carolina Accounting Services. I decided to incorporate in 2023 and founded Newberry Accounting Inc.

Michelle Newberry’s Background:

I graduated from University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Then I graduated from University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2000 with a Master’s degree in Accounting. Both of these degrees were obtained within the Cameron School of Business at UNC-Wilmington. I worked as an accountant at an insurance office and various small businesses early in my career. I started teaching accounting part-time at Cape Fear Community College in 2001 and then full-time in 2006. By 2015, I decided to change focus and go back to working in the field. I started working for a local attorney, and realized how much I enjoyed working in that industry. In 2016 I started Coastal Carolina Accounting Services which later transitioned to Newberry Accounting Inc. I started publishing accounting YouTube videos a few years later.

When I’m not working or creating YouTube videos, I’m spending time with my family, reading books, kickboxing, spending time at the beach and out in nature, meditating, practicing yoga, and attending health and wellness retreats.
